PostSubject: It's broken, just like mines [Open]   Sat Aug 21, 2010 7:01 am

Vash walked outside the hospital into the courtyard. He had 3 pairs of clean gloves with, just in case. Ah, finally. Some fresh air. The hospital smelled and was so dirty. Besides the fact that nature was quite dirty, with mud and all, Vash loved it. He loved the fresh air. Then again, the courtyard wasn't really like that, but better than inside the hospital. The Swiss wore combat boots So he wouldn't get that dirty. He silently walked through the yard on his own. He'd prefered to be left alone. It was surprisingly quiet.

That was until he heard a loud Bang! He blinked and looked up as he saw a bird falling on the ground. Poor thing. He walked over to where the birt had fallen. "Bist du, okay?" He asked the little bird. He carefully picked it up. It was such a cute bird. He noticed his wing was bent.

"Ich denke, dass es ist gebrochen." Mumbled the swiss to himself. Yes the wing was broken, just like his right arm. Vash felt sorry for the bird and wanted to help him. Fix him up too. But with one arm, that wasn't going to work. He looked around for a little help.

Translation:
* Are you okay?
* I think it's broken.

Heracles smiled, glad to be outside. Sure, he loved the kids, but his first love would always be nature and the animals that existed there. Last time he had been in the courtyard he had found a kitten to take care of.

BANG! Heracles looked around, recognizing the sound. He hoped that it hadn't been shot in the courtyard, but sadly it was too close to have come from somewhere else. He started towards where the sound seemed to have come from, stopping when he saw a blond looking around. The blond was cradling something in his hands and looked just a little bit lost.

"What's wrong?" He asked, stepping closer.

Vash stirred. He hadn't heard the other coming. Normally he paid more attention to his surroundings. He wasn't good at talking so he'd prefered to be alone. Though he had to admit he needed help now. Also he needed to change his gloves soon. And god his arm itched terribly.

He turned around and looked at the other man. "Ah...hmn. It's broken. The wing." He told the other as he showed him the bird in his left hand. He was having trouble carrying it. Since his right arm was broken.

Heracles nodded, noticing that the other seemed uncomfortable. "May I see it?" He asked, holding out his hands for the bird.

He looked over the blond and realized that he didn't know the guy's name. Not strange, since he didn't know many of the people working there outside of the pediatrics wing, but something that needed to be rectified. "I'm Heracles Karpusi. What's your name?"

Vash straightened his back and looked back into the others eyes. "Sure." He said as he held out the bird carefully.

He nodded when the other introduced himself. "Vash Zwingli." He told the other. He wasn't much of a talker. He wasn't really good with interacting around others. With his current job, he didn't need to. Everything was dead anyway. Or they were too focused on something to talk to the Swiss. He didn't mind it.

Heracles carefully took the bird, being careful of it's wing. Looking over it, he realized that he was going to need a stick and some bandages to bind the bird's wing properly. Would probably have to set it down somewhere.

Looking for a bench, he nodded absently. Vash, huh? He looked at the blond and smiled. "Want to help me?" He asked, knowing that help would be greatly appreciated to keep the wing straight.

Vash nodded and looked over at the bench he was staring at. Seemed clean. Good enough. "Ah, Ja, I will help." He told the other. Off course he would help. He wanted to make sure the bird would be alright. It was such a tiny cute bird. He wondered if he could somehow keep it.

They walked over to the bench and Vash silently sat down. He straightened up. He was always so stiff. He didn't want to relax around othes, or so it seemed.

Heracles gently set the bird onto the bench and pulled the bird's wing out, frowning. He needed to set it's wing, but the bird was definitely going to struggle against that. But if he didn't set it it would heal wrong. He knelt down next to the bench and looked up at Vash, gesturing to the bird. "Could you hold it down please?"

At the same time, he searched the sticks to see if one of them would work as a stint(?) to keep the bird's wing straight. He noticed how rigid Vash was sitting and wondered as to why he was sitting like that. It wasn't as if Heracles was going to hurt the blond.

Vash nodded. "Aah. Uhm sure." He carfully held the bird down. Afraid that he would hurt it. He wasn't good at this. He didn't want to hurt it. He watched the other gather sticks as he held the bird still. "Es ist okay." He told the small bird. Trying to calm it down a little. He was thankful that the other wanted to help him with this.

Heracles watched him out of the corner of his eyes, smiling at how gentle Vash was being. It was truly adorable. He picked a stick that would work well enough as a stint and put it aside, pulling the bandages out of his pocket and setting them beside the stick.

His smile softened at Vash's word, and he probably would have hugged the boy if it wasn't for the cast on his arm. He was so cute! "Okay, now please hold it down." He asked, biting his lip. He didn't want to hurt the bird but...Taking a deep breath, he quickly set the bird's arm, wincing at the cracking noise. He put the stint against the bird's wing and wrapped the bandage around it tightly, gently stroking the bird's head. "I'm sorry little one." He muttered, making sure the bandages were on right.

Vash held the bird down as the other had came back with some sticks. He just nodded at him and then looked back at the bird. "It's going to be okay." He told the bird, trying to calm it down. He shrieked a bit when the bird made a noise. That had to hurt. He also stroked it. He then stirred up and looked back up at the other. "D-danke." He told him. He rarely met people who cared about birds with broken wings.

Heracles looked up at the boy when he shrieked, smiling at how he was comforting the bird. Not many people cared now a days about taking care of animals. Anyone else would have just left the bird there and moved on with their life.

He blinked when the boy addressed him, and tilted his head to the side. He had been around Dr. Jansen enough to know what the words meant but he wondered..."Why thank me?"

Vash straightened up and coughed. "Because I couldn't have done it on my own, so thanks." He said with a slight blush. He didn't really know how to act around the other. He was glad he had helped him with the bird.

Vash looked down at the small bird and softly stroked his feathers. Poor thing. He hope he would be fine soon.

"Ah. You're welcome then." He said, straightening out and smiling at the blush on Vash's face. He looked down at the bird and frowned, scratching the back of his head. He watched Vash pet the bird before sighing. "Wonder what we're going to do with him now..."

Vash looked down at the bird, a bit concerned. He looked up when the other asked him a question. What to do now? He didn't know. He couldn't keep it at his ward. "Ah uhm...I can't take it, I'm a patient here." He told the other a bit shyly. Oh he'd love to take care of the bird, but just couldn't.
