Amusing and frightening articles!

So my friend linked me to one of these articles a while back and I was horrified since oddly, despite owning a hospital based roleplay, they freak me out. Then I was looking at other things and I figured since this is hospital based, I can share some links to amusing articles with you!

First is the freaky yet amusing one! The 6 Most Horrifying Ways Hospitals Can Kill You from cracked.com. This scares me a lot but it is also amusing. If someone on this site catches on fire during surgery, you get a cookie.

Second is from the same website! 8 Medical Terms Your Doctor Uses to Insult You. Some of these are horrible but they make me laugh. Now I know to be careful at the doctor! They link to it on that site but here is actually a HUUUUUGE list of all things like that. Huge list of doctor slang. Some are horrible. You get total bonus points from me if you use any of these on here if you are a staff member!

#6 and #1 of the first article have both happened to me before though so.. I mostly spent the whole time reading it faceplanting.

The doctors around here are clearly just trying to kill everyone. xD;
~~The local hospital at least has an absolutely terrible reputation when it comes to cleanliness. Especially in the whole superbug area...~~

It could be worse though! The doctors could be nervous Lithuanians and otaku Japanese and high Dutch people. 8D

I was in the hospital for a little more than a month last year because one of my kidneys shut down, and I'm such a worrywart about #3. Every time one of my nurses or my doctor came in to change my IV or take a test, I'd get really paranoid that they'd mix something up. Obviously, they knew what they were doing, since I'm alive and well, but damn.

I never woke up during surgery. If I did, I'd freak out.

So I was sitting eating dinner today while watching the news and this totally caught my attention.

There was the doctor woman sitting there and she all angry and outraged at something...something horribly creepy. That is right! Online you can buy a do it yourself surgery kit! Awesome and totally safe, right?

Pffft, cracked is awesome. XD (I still can't get over their 'Reasons a Zombie Outbreak would fail' one. The CDC business card makes me giggle every time.) I think I'm going to save some of that jargon for Roderich's use...

Anyway, my contribution to the amusing and frightening collection: fecal transplants. Yes, that's inserting someone else's liquified feces into a patient. It's really interesting, actually.
